Care & Cleaning of SEEMA Pressure Cooker

To get the best results from Seema Pressure Cooker observe the following instructions carefully.

DON'T'S

Do not hit rim of the cooker body or edge of lid against any hard object. It may result in denting and therefore the lid may not close properly,

Do not try to tighten the play provided in the lid handle because it helps in the proper sealing of the pressure cooker.

When the gasket is hot please do not stretch it as it may loose its shape and the lid may not set properly.

Do not leave food in cooker for a long time. Food may aecompose and acidic chemicals may react and weaken the cooker body

Do not even leave water inside the cooker body or the whole cooker in water. Water have natural salt elements in it which may cause little pits inside the cooker body.

Do not use hard abrasives for cleaning of Seema pressure cooker like steel wool, steel brushes, ash or mud.

DO'S:

Keep the vent tube clean. If it is choked with foo particles or for any other reason excess steam in the cooker body may not have any other way to escape. In this case safety valve have its function but when the pressure is more intensive it may be fused. Therefore,.it is advised to check the vent tube by looking through it before using the pressure cooker. If you see any blockage, clean it by pushing a wire through vent tube.

Always follow the instructions provided in this manual about filling the right quantity of water. In case water is less than required the food may be ruined besides it may burn to such an extent that it will be hard to remove the stains.

Always thoroughly clean and wash the cooker properly after cooking. Use any soft detergent powder using plastic scrubbers.

Do not usetubewell or boring waterforwashing.

After using for a while cooker body may loose its shine from inside and may become blacken. To remove these stains pour one litre of wafer with 2 teaspoonful of

Clean vent weight by using jet of water to clear the steam channel.

While washing the lid let the gasket in the lid curl. Wipe the gasket seated in the lid curl with sponge and rinse with water.

Let the cooker open after washing till it is dried properly.

If the stud and the screw of the body gets loose you can tighten it by using a screw driver.

Make sure that pivot is in the vertical position.
